Prof. Dr. Öztuğ Adsan
Professor Dr. Öztuğ ADSAN has graduated from Ankara University Faculty of Medicine in 1987. Between 1987-1992, he completed Urology residency at İbn-i Sina Hospital Urology Department of Ankara University Faculty of Medicine. As a specialist doctor, he worked at Ankara Numune Training and Research Hospital between 1992 and 2011. In 1999, he had Associated Professor of Urology degree. In 2001, he received the title of Vice Chief of Urology Clinic at Ankara Numune Training and Research Hospital. He worked as a Professor of Urology at the Department of Urology, Faculty of Medicine, Sakarya University between 2011-2016. He is currently Professor of Urology at TOBB-ETU Hospital, Ankara, Turkiye.
Between 1997 and 1998 he carried out a project named “The role of RT-PCR in the molecular staging of prostate cancer” at the Urology Clinic of Bern University, Switzerland for one year from research scholarship he received from the European Urological Association. In 2013, he worked on Robotic Prostatectomy at the Weill Cornell Medical College in New York, USA for three months with the YÖK scholarship.
Dr. Adsan was the Best Researcher of Turkish Urooncology Association in 2009 and had the Best Poster Award of Turkish Urology Association in 2012.
Dr. Adsan’s thesis has been realized with the clinical study titled “Diagnostic Value of DSA in Renal Masses”. During this period, he moderated 6 urology thesis. Dr. Adsan has 5 separate book section edition and 4 translation urology book editions. He was the main researcher in three multi-centered scientific projects and a researcher in one project.
Dr. Adsan has published more than 65 publications in SCI and SCI expanded scanned journals. Dr. Adsan has published more than 68 papers in nationally recognized journals. Dr. Adsan’s 40 scientific publications have received 520 citations so far.
Dr. Adsan is currently main investigator in two TUBITAK projects and two researchers in two university BAP projects. He has lectured abroad in Tirana-Albania and Astana-Kazakhstan cities as a trainer in university hospitals and has performed urooncology operations.
